World Ag Expo 2011

Dairy producer board members attended the 2011 World Ag Expo in Tulare, Calif., Feb. 8 to 10 to talk with fellow producers about checkoff programs that are helping to increase demand of and sales for dairy products.

Ryan Anglin, Arkansas dairy producer and chair of the National Dairy Promotion and Research Board, talks with DairyLine’s Bill Baker about the success of the Innovation Center for U.S. Dairy®. Started by dairy producers, the Innovation Center works to bring all aspects of the dairy industry together to act on some of the most important issues facing the industry and find ways to sell more dairy.

Dairy producer board members also were at the Dairy Management Inc.™ booth. Board members visited with fellow dairy producers about the checkoff programs highlighted at this year’s booth. Here, Arlene Vander Eyk, California dairy producer and National Dairy Promotion and Research Board member, talks with local dairy producers about Fuel Up to Play 60 — the in-school program that encourages physical fitness and healthy eating, including low-fat and fat-free dairy products.

Each day, a board member led a Dairy Profit Seminar to provide updates on checkoff-led programs that help sell more milk and dairy products. Ron Koetsier talks with the audience about powerful partnerships with industry-leading companies such as McDonald’s® and Domino’s Pizza® that are helping to increase dairy sales and consumption.
